The DAR Good Wife's Chapter will be sponsoring their annual Fifth Grade American History Essay Contest in Darien Schools. September submission, presentation/reception for winners in February, 2026. The topic is: "Lunch with a Signer." More details below.

About the event
Interested area students in grades 5-8 must first contact DAR American History Essay Chairman, Sandi MacPherson at sandimac@optonline.net for Contest Rules, Information and Forms. Arrangements are available for other than 5th grade. All essays due to this Chairman by October 31, 2025.
A reception for winners, their parents, teachers and administrators will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2026 at the Noroton Presbyterian Church. Snow date February 9, 2026.
